Treatment Options
“Do You Accept Insurance?” And Other Questions
Much of what Siskiyou Vital Medicine offers though in-office services and virtual visits eliminates the need for insurance claims.
For major medical needs not covered by our membership, many of our patients carry a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). This is often accessed through an employer or through the Healthcare Marketplace. Our patients often find that they spend substantially less on their healthcare overall by layering their insurance plan with their PHP membership.
Siskiyou Vital Medicine also accepts HSA (Health Saving Accounts) and FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) for treatments at the clinic.
Do I have to be a member to be seen at Siskiyou Vital Medicine?
Yes — membership is required for all primary care appointments. The only exceptions are:
- Regenerative Injection Therapy – available without membership.
- IV Therapy – available with a referral (have your provider fax it to us at 541-392-4962).
- Auto Accident Recovery.
- Buying supplements.

Do your plans serve as health insurance?
Membership at Siskiyou Vital Medicine is not health insurance. It is designed to cover your primary care needs and work alongside other healthcare options.
For larger or unexpected medical expenses, many patients choose to pair their membership with either a high deductible health plan (HDHP) or a medical cost sharing program. These options help cover hospitalizations, surgeries, or specialized care, while your membership provides direct, personalized access to your physician for everyday health needs.
Many patients find that this combination offers a more flexible and cost-effective approach to managing their healthcare. As healthcare continues to evolve, new legislation is also making Direct Primary Care more accessible, giving patients more freedom in how they structure their care.
What if I need a prescription filled?
Naturopathic doctors here in Oregon are able to write, refill and modify your prescriptions just as allopathic doctors are.
How long are your appointments?
Appointments generally take between 30 – 60 minutes. The length of the appointment depends entirely upon our individual patient needs. We prefer to get to know our patients in a relaxed setting and address all their questions and needs.
What about hospital visits or emergencies?
Direct Primary Care covers your everyday healthcare needs. For larger, unexpected costs like hospitalizations or surgeries, many patients choose to pair their membership with a medical cost sharing program. This combination offers a more complete and often more affordable approach to healthcare.
