“Holistic Pelvic CareTM is a combination of physical and energetic tools” developed by women’s health physical therapist Tami Kent (www.wildfeminine.com). Holistic Pelvic Care treatment sessions are aimed at addressing common imbalances in the female pelvis which often manifest in symptoms such as urine leakage or incontinence, pelvic pain, chronic vaginal or urinary infections, pelvic floor muscle weakness, and/or sexual dysfunction. Holistic Pelvic Care is “designed to assess and restore balance to the pelvic bowl.” Therapeutic techniques used include intervaginal myofascial release and trigger point release as well as breathwork, visualization, and energetic realignment.
Who can benefit from Holistic Pelvic Care?
As women in our modern day culture, most of us have pelvic congestion and imbalances due to prolonged sitting, stress, inflammation, trauma history, difficulties in pregnancy or childbirth, history of chronic illness, and/or environmental toxin overload.
All women can find benefits in Holistic Pelvic Care (HPC) sessions because the care is both therapeutic and preventative; HPC can be deeply healing while also contributing to overall female wellness and balance. HPC may be especially beneficial following childbirth (after the initial 6-week postpartum period) and during other life transitions such as menopause.
