1. Your care is individualized
We get to know you well and tailor your care to meet your unique needs and desires. We aim to create an environment of trust and mutual respect.
2. Mom and baby are one.
We know you and your baby are deeply connected; this connection goes beyond the physical realm. How a mom feels, what she experiences, and how she acts all affect her baby; likewise, a baby’s activity affects his/her mom.
3. Pregnancy, birth, and motherhood is more than a physical experience.
Pregnancy is an all-encompassing experience, affecting all levels of a mother’s being including her emotions, her relationship to self and others, her spiritual connection, and so much more.
4. Your safety, well-being, and comfort are top priorities.
Our care is attentive, research-based, and holistic. We monitor you closely throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth. This close monitoring continues into the postpartum period and beyond. While our focus is on creating and maintaining wellness within the framework of normal pregnancy, we are skilled at identifying symptoms and conditions that need further medical attention or referral.
5. We offer freedom of choice.
We provide thorough information and education regarding all decisions that come up throughout your care. There is ample time for questions during each prenatal visit. You are always “at choice” as we explore and discuss topics in a safe space free of judgment.
6. Your midwife is available.
We are on-call for you 24/7 during your “due window” and are readily available to answer questions and concerns that come up at other times throughout your care.
7. Full Scope Naturopathic Care.
Naturopathic midwives are also primary care doctors who specialize in natural medicine. This wide scope allows us to provide primary medical care for your entire family, if you choose. Your naturopathic midwifery care doesn’t end six weeks after your baby is born as it does in most other midwifery practices. We offer lasting continuity of care and delight in getting to see your baby grow through the years.
