NeoGen PSR – Plasma Skin Regeneration
Regenerative Plasma Skin Renewal
A physician-guided skin resurfacing treatment that stimulates your body’s own repair process for firmer, clearer, healthier skin.
What Is Neogen PSR?
Neogen PSR (Plasma Skin Regeneration) is an advanced regenerative skin treatment that uses nitrogen plasma energy to stimulate your skin’s natural repair processes. It works by delivering controlled energy and heat pulses that penetrate the skin, activating thermal regeneration within the tissue. This thermal stimulation triggers increased collagen and elastin production, accelerates cellular turnover, and improves overall tissue quality.
The depth of effect is determined by the strength of each pulse and can be increased gradually through multiple passes during treatment. Neogen PSR is especially well-suited for people who want meaningful skin renewal and long-term tissue health without harsh chemicals, aggressive lasers, or repeated short-term cosmetic fixes.

Why Choose Regenerative Aesthetics?
Regenerative aesthetics with Neogen PSR focus on helping your skin heal, repair, and thrive from the inside out. Unlike traditional resurfacing methods that rely on aggressive damage, NeoGen PSR delivers high-energy pulses that stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving circulation and tissue health naturally.
These treatments work with your biology rather than forcing dramatic changes. They support long-term skin health, improve resilience, and help restore a naturally vibrant appearance.
Your care is personalized and informed by hormone balance, nutrition, gut health, and other root factors that influence the way your skin ages and repairs.

How NeoGen PSR Treatments Work
Is Neogen PSR safe for my skin type?
One of the biggest advantages of NeoGen PSR is that it is safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I–V, including darker skin tones that may be at higher risk with traditional lasers. NeoGen uses nitrogen plasma energy, which delivers controlled, uniform heat to the skin, reducing the risk of pigment changes while stimulating collagen and tissue repair.
At SVM, safety goes even further because every treatment is physician-guided. Before recommending Neogen, we review your:
- Skin type and sensitivity
- History of hyperpigmentation
- Medical conditions and medications
- Recent sun exposure
- Healing tendencies
This makes the results more predictable. If Neogen isn’t the ideal fit for your skin, we’ll help you find an option that is.
Does it hurt?
Getting NeoGen PSR treatment feels like a rubber band snapping on your skin. We apply a medical-grade topical anesthetic beforehand, which makes the treatment much more comfortable. After the procedure, the skin will feel warm and tight for a few days, similar to a sunburn, and start peeling to reveal the new, younger skin.
How long do results last?
NeoGen PSR results develop gradually over several months:
- Grow Phase (1–3 months): Your skin begins its healing and regeneration process.
- Glow Phase (4–7 months): Visible improvements in texture, tone, and firmness start to appear.
- Glam Phase (8–9 months): Full effects are realized, with refreshed, youthful, radiant skin.
Healthy skincare habits, sun protection, hydration, and overall wellness help maintain your results. The benefits last longest when combined with good sleep, balanced nutrition, stress management, and gentle care for your skin.
How many treatments do I need?
We start with a clinical skin evaluation to understand your skin biology, goals, and overall health. From there, we recommend only what truly fits your needs. Every plan is personalized, safe, and designed to support long-term skin health rather than one-size-fits-all results.
What’s the downtime?
Downtime depends on the treatment strength. Exercise and sun exposure need to be avoided. The treated area may appear red, splotchy, or sunburned and might peel over the next 4–7 days. Any hair in the treated area may shed but typically grows back within 28 days.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Come with clean skin, free of makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products. Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and harsh products for at least 48 hours beforehand. Stay well-hydrated, and let us know about any recent procedures, medications, or changes in your health so we can tailor your treatment safely.
Do I need to be an SVM member?
Our aesthetic services are open to everyone. You don’t need a membership to schedule treatments, consultations, or skin assessments.
Why do I need NeoGen PSR?
Because health creates the conditions for great skin – but sometimes the tissue needs a reset. NeoGen PSR supports your skin’s natural regeneration when lifestyle alone can’t undo old damage or age-related changes.
Your Neogen PSR session is designed to be safe, precise, and effective. These treatments work with your skin’s biology to restore tone, texture, and elasticity while promoting long-term skin health. Here’s what to expect:
- Preparation
A numbing cream is applied to the treatment area for about 20 minutes. Patients should arrive well-hydrated with clean, product-free skin. - Treatment
You will be laying down on a comfortable chair while high-energy pulses are delivered to the skin for 30 to 40 minutes. - Aftercare
Expect some redness and swelling for 4 to 7 days. Avoid sun exposure, sweating, or activities that raise body temperature. Also avoid washing the treated area, applying cold, or touching the skin for the first 24 hours. More in our aftercare section.
Results develop gradually over the next several months:
- Grow Phase (1–3 months): Your skin begins its healing and regeneration process,
- Glow Phase (4–7 months): Visible improvements in texture, tone, and firmness start to appear,
- Glam Phase (8–9 months): Full effects are realized, with refreshed, youthful, radiant skin.
Aftercare
The first 24 hours
To reduce the risk of potential complications and for a quicker recovery, the following aftercare guidelines should be followed.
General Rules
- Protect the treated area from sun exposure
- Avoid getting the treated area wet
- Avoid Tylenol, steroids, or similar painkillers
- Avoid pressure on the treated area(s)
- For high energy treatments, use the provided ointment as directed
- Change your pillow cases and bed sheets daily until healed
- If swelling occurs, antihistamines can be taken
- Some patients might benefit from sleeping slightly propped up after facial treatment
Activities to Avoid
- AVOID activities that increase body temperature or cause sweating, such as exercise, hot tub or sauna use
- AVOID exposure to dusty or dirty environment
- AVOID cooling of the treated area with fans, air conditioning, ice packs etc.
- AVOID tight, constricting, or abrasive closing on or around the treated area
- AVOID contact of the treated area with children or pets
2 – 5 Days Post Treatment
Continued post treatment care is still very important for both the recovery and treatment outcome.
- Contact your provider immediately if there is any continued pain, blistering, oozing or concerns about itching in the treated area
- After the first 48 hours, a mild, non-abrasive, chemical free cleanser can be used 3-4 times a day
- Any cleanser should be applied by dabbing or patting the area and rinsed off gently. Dry the area the same way and avoid rubbing.
- Continue to avoid pressure on the treated area especially at night
- Continue to change your pillow cases and bed sheets daily until healed
- Avoid scratching or picking at the treated skin until it flakes off by itself
- During and after peeling of the skin there may be areas that are darker or lighter than others. This should even out over time
- Resumption of shaving or use of mineral make-up is permissible after 2-7 days depending on the intensity of the treatment
After Flaking / Peeling
Once peeling or flaking ends and new skin appears, follow these aftercare instructions.
- Resume the use of a topical sun block SPF 30+ where the treated area is exposed to sunlight, even when driving or indoors near windows
- Exposure to sunlight increases the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and should be avoided for 3-4 weeks after treatment or for the entire treatment course
- Consider the use of sunglasses, hats and protective clothing for the treated area
- Resume the use of a high-quality moisturizer
- The new skin is fragile and should be treated with care
- During the healing process, darker and lighter skin areas are normal and should heal without any pigmentation changes within a few months.
- Contact your treatment provider if you have any pigment changes that you are concerned about.
NeoGen PSR vs. Other Skin Treatments
NeoGen PSR works differently than lasers, chemical peels, or microneedling. Instead of removing the top layer of skin or forcing changes, it delivers controlled nitrogen plasma energy that stimulates your skin’s own healing process. This allows for deep tissue regeneration with minimal risk to pigment, making it safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I-V.
NeoGen PSR
- Stimulates collagen and elastin through controlled plasma energy
- Safe for Fitzpatrick types 1–5
- Gradual, natural-looking results
- Minimal risk of hyperpigmentation or scarring
Traditional Lasers:
- Often remove or burn the top layer of skin
- Higher risk of pigment changes in darker skin types
- Recovery can be longer
Chemical Peels
- Exfoliate surface layers
- May irritate sensitive skin
- Results are mostly superficial and temporary
Microneedling
- Creates micro-injuries to stimulate collagen
- Can be combined with PRP/exosomes for enhanced results
- Primarily works on texture, fine lines, and scars but less effective for pigmented lesions or deeper wrinkles
NeoGen PSR complements a holistic skincare plan, integrating with nutrition, hydration, hormone balance, and lifestyle to support long-term skin health.
At Siskiyou Vital Medicine, we believe feeling confident in your skin is an essential part of whole-body wellness. Our team is here to guide you with clarity, skill, and care – every step of the way!
