– Every time somebody comes in for an appointment, we don’t charge them, right?
– Right.
– There’s no charge for an appointment. And then we’re able to text, we’re able to call, we’re able to email, and there’s no barrier to care. And I think that’s the future, right? So if we can eliminate the barriers to care and all get on the same page, and start talking about these issues. We can start talking about the quality of our food, the quality of our environment, how do we relate to one another? How do we come back together as a community, as friends, as neighbors, and support one another? And you’re seeing symptoms of this through social media and the news. I mean, if you turn on the TV it’s mind blowing, it’s depressing, it’s terrifying, it inspires anger. But let’s get rid of all that stuff and come back and have real conversations with one another. And I think that this model really fosters that relationship, and fosters the ability, and provides the access to the care that we all need. That we all want, right? Because I think at a direct primary care practice, you’re no longer a number, you’re no longer just a cog in the system, you’re really a unique individual and I really love the members that we have here at Siskiyou, because they all feel like family. You really get to know somebody, and they just bring a certain personality to the practice, or they bring a certain sweetness, or whatever it is, it really just, we find ourselves talking about it all the time, how wonderful it is, and it really is becoming a large family.
